Worst phone I have ever owned
Bought this thing for work usage. I have had it send back for repairs 5 times. Worst phone I have ever owned. Lots of problems, would not ever buy again...
CRACKED SCREEN, BUGY SOFTWARE
Great battery life, but it slid off a park bench landed camera side down and some how the touch screen on the other side shattered. Lots of issue when trying to use apps or the camera.
Broke many times
Loads of problems with the software, things not working right. Screen cracked after fell out of my pocket (not even 80cm above ground), case cracked for literally no reason, buttons stopped working. All within a year. Wouldn't buy another one of these.
Tough Phone - Tough Year
I bought the Def 2 a year ago, mainly for the OS Mapping, and some issues developed after the first few months.
The camera will not focus in the middle area of the screen.
Bluetooth will not stay connected in my car, I regularly have to re-pair.
It goes wappy when I try to use it whilst on charge.
Emails keep re-appearing despite deleting them over and over again (but this might be down to my settings somewhere).
As for the OS maps, absolutely no way can I set it for 'Head-Up' instead of 'North-Up'
Screen protectors cost £7... EACH!
Other than those issues I have liked my phone and haven't felt the need to go back to a conventional phone such as the HTC M8 I had previously.
But I now need to move on to another. I was considering the Def Pro but can't find any reviews..?!
Bought the phone and within a month over a dozen faults had appeared. Phone is currently back for warranty repair.
camera poor, cracked screen
I only had this for a few months then the camera app dissapeared from the phone all together, no camera or flash. Got a replacement and within a month the camera would not focus, didn,t want to be without a phone again for 3 weeks so kept it. Then today i dropped it from 40cm and the screen shattered. Soft phone would be more apt.
Upgraded from Defender 1
I bought the Defender 2 after having the original Defender as that was starting to give out. Runs quickly, battery lasts most of the day. Bit pricey though.
The Defender 2 is the sequel to the immensely popular Defender, one of the best selling toughphones on the market.
Capable of resisting both liquid and particle ingress to a high level thanks to its IP68 certification, this device is also capable of withstanding drops from heights of up to 2m and is fully MIL-STD 810G certified.
