Vodafone has blocked more than 100 million nuisance calls
Vodafone has revealed that it has blocked more than 100 million nuisance calls since the roll out of it's call barring technology across the network.
The new technology is designed to block unwanted calls at a network level before they reach the intended customer. Unsuprisingly most of the calls blocked were from false prize claims, accident claims and PPI claim calls.
Vodafone UK Commercial Director Glafkos Persianis commented on the new technology saying, "Our focus is on liberating our customers from the stress of unwanted or fraudulent calls."
"We have also shared our intelligence with industry bodies and the regulator in a bid to create a united front against the sophisticated criminal gangs behind the scams."
