Smartphones with bendable screens from Samsung could arrive in 2017
Samsung is one of the biggest names in mobile tech thanks to its successfull Galaxy and Note series of smartphones.
It has been rumoured for some time now that Samsung have been working on bendable OLED screens with the aim of integrating them into their range of devices.
Already unafraid to test the boundaries of what consumers will accept in a smartphone, Samsung's Edge series of devices have proven to be extremely innovative and have increased in popularity with every new device release.
Currently codenamed 'Project Valley' the new devices could be unveiled during the Mobile World Congress in February next year.
We expect that the new devices will not be labelled with the current 'Galaxy S' naming convention according to a recently released Bloomberg report, as Samsung will want to gauge the market's interest in devices that utilize a foldable screen before attributing them to their flagship line.
The number of possibilities for smartphones with foldable, bendable screens is huge as can be seen in the 2014 Samsung Flexible OLED Display Phone and Tab Concept video below.
