Tough mobile phone news - Investors may want to investigate rugged devices
Many people understand the appeal of a tough mobile phone. After all, who would not want a device which may be dust, shock and even waterproof?
Now it appears the stock market has started to reflect this demand, with analysts expecting the rugged handheld devices market to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of about eight percent between 2010 and 2014.
A report from market research company TechNavio states there is an increasing demand for these durable devices; especially if they have specific applications. However, with the sometimes expensive prices of these products, the organisation is concerned the market may grow at a slower pace than it usually would.
While these items may sometimes be costly, having a device which could withstand the elements has got to be worth the extra expense.
If you are looking to purchase a tough mobile phone, you are certainly in the right place. However, if you are looking for a portfolio to invest in, you may want to consider rugged devices – come 2014, you may be sitting on a profit.
