Mobile phone news - Sonim’s rugged mobile phones available via Tough Corp
Somin Technologies, maker of rugged mobile phones, has provided six handsets from its range to Tough Corp, which manufactures, develops, and sells sturdy technology, for sale.
Tough Corp's Brand Manager for Handheld Devices stated, "I take great pleasure in announcing the relationship between Sonim Technologies and Tough Corp. This addition will compliment our existing range of rugged computers, rugged laptops, rugged PDAs, rugged keyboards and rugged printers and create exciting new opportunities."
Tough Corp, which holds the Guinness World Record for the World's Toughest Mobile Phone, has revealed the addition of the Sonim XP5300 Force 3G, XP3340 Sentinal, XP3 Sentinal, XP3.10 Enduro Z1, Enduro Z2, and the XP3.20 Quest Pro Z2 to its available products.
All of these tough mobile phones have a high IP rating, which means that they can withstand knocks as well as being dropped from height and are splash-proof or fully submersible depending on the exact rating given.
These phones are ideal for building site and factory workers and people who enjoy extreme sports or exploring the wilderness in the UK or abroad, since the handsets are all designed for use in harsh environments, some feature a man-down panic button which calls emergency services, and others can withstand extreme temperatures.
However, rugged mobile phones may also be useful to individuals who are worried that their phone may become damaged during normal day-to-day activities, and could also be used by elderly people who live alone as an extra safety precaution should they fall in their home, garden, or in a secluded area.
