EE offers the fastest 4G speeds in the UK thanks to recent network upgrades
Mobile network operator EE has announced that it has begun upgrading its 4G mobile network which the network claims will grant subscribers access to 4G download speeds 'equal to the fastest anywhere in the world.'
Customers with Cat 9 smartphones such as the HTC 10, Samsung Galaxy S7 and Note7 will all be able to make use of the new increased download speeds which EE state are capable achieving speeds of up to 450Mbps.
EE have stated that they have managed to get download speeds of 369Mbps on a HTC 10 device during their tests performed at Wembley Stadium.
The new Cat 9 speeds are set to be be rolled out across London, Manchester and Birmingham later this year. The rest of the country will have to wait until 2017 to see any increase in 4G download speeds. Subscribers will need to be on an EE Max plan to take advantage of the new data service.
